Environment has become one of the most concerning areas for India as we walk a fine line balancing economic growth and protecting the environment. There is a lot of ground to be covered in the areas of efficiently managing wastes like solid waste, plastic waste, hazardous waste, e-waste and bio-medical waste; preventing pollution of rivers, lakes and water bodies; and, preserving water, air and soil quality.
Several stakeholders including civil society, multilateral organizations, philanthropic organizations, industry associations, private organizations and citizens contribute to protecting the environment. Yet this is one area which always seems to have a lot of activity and needs support.
